Is Treatment Required For Keloid Formed Over Incision Site?

Hi,My father(age 50yrs) had a CABG surgery 14th months back. there is a keloid formation over the incisional site and he is feeling uncomfortable with promblems like itching,pain,reddness.we consulted the doctor he suggested to get corteco....injection done.so do we need to get it done or it will go naturally.
