Is Yasmin Effective As A Birth Control Pill?

hi Dr. i am 25 year old female living in UAE, for over 2 years i used Dian 35, then i changed it to Yasmin with my Doctors advise. its been 2 months i stopped taking any Yasmin now ! will it be effective! as long as there is no ipill in dubai , what should i do! is there any chance of pregnancy! i was still having some blood while intercourse...pls help...
