It Started Out As A Bad Itch/burning Sensation, Shortly After

It started out as a bad itch/burning sensation, shortly after it welped up lik a blister the size of a half dollar, through out the day it got wore and now in the middle is purplish black but around it it's welped up and red. The pain is excruciating with burning and throbbing. what could this be?
