Iv Been On Medication For 6yrs In That Time I

Iv been on medication for 6yrs in that time I didn't have a period at all, iv just recently stopped that medication and I got my period, after 6yrs it was a big surprise, I felt very unwell, tired,cryie, headaches, and I'm worried is all this normal I'm 42 yrs old
