I've I've Been Having Irregular Pains In My Upper Left

I've I've been having irregular pains in my upper left side just below breast, radiating from Just below ribs on left near back under the arm to just below the left breast.
Sometimes this is followed by a similar pain on the right, but lower down. Are they connected, should I see my own doctor? I'm having this pain 2-3 times an hour lasting between 3-5 seconds before a position switch eases it.
