I've Been Coughing For About 3 Weeks Now, And I

I've been coughing for about 3 weeks now, and I have had a stuffy nose for about a week and a half. The first 2 days of the cough I had a fever, but the fever is all gone now. The cough gets persistent when mucus has to come up. When I cough sometimes it gets uncontrollable to where I have to cough multiple times in a row. For the past week my left rib cage has been very painful from all the coughing. Is there any possible way you can tell me what is going on? Thanks in advance.
