I've Been Coughing To The Point Where My Lungs Were

I've been coughing to the point where my lungs were sore. I feel light headed whether I lie down or sit up. My skin is very sensitive to the touch; specifically on my back, chest and sides. I am a 26 year old male. I've take Theraflu and was wondering should I seek medical help.
