I've Been Diagnosed Having Erythema Multi Formae. My First Outbreak

I've been diagnosed having erythema multi formae. My first outbreak was in September. I've had 2 additional outbreaks since right before thanksgiving and Christmas. My doctor has prescribed prednisone each time and my symptoms went away. I just quit my last cycle 2 days ago and now have the rashes coming back again. What can I do for this to go away? I'm also taking acyclovir 5 times a day
