I've Been Diagnosed With A Partial ACL Tear In My

I've been diagnosed with a partial ACL tear in my left knee. The surgeon did not recommend surgery to repair the damage and instead I will be braced. I'm very active in taekwondo and need to be able to pivot, cut, and change direction quickly. Might surgery be a better option for me? I know others who have completely ruptured the ACL and surgery completely restored stability to their knee. Thank you in advance.
