I've Been Experiencing An Extended Time Of My Period, Maybe

I've been experiencing an extended time of my period, maybe about a month around this time of the week. I'm only but I've been quite heavy and it seems as if it's never ending..If this also helps, I have a very irregular period I get it every few months and I don't even get cramps...any idea of what could be happening in my body?
