I've Been Experiencing Some Blackness Surrounding My Field Of Vision

I've been experiencing some blackness surrounding my field of vision to the point of blackout.I become unsteady and have fallen down. I have not really passed out but have been unsteady for moments at a time. I have been diagnosed with pre-diabetics and wonder if I am now diabetic. I took my blood sugar level and it was 166.
