I've Been Giving My 6th Old The Becoactin Syrup To

I've been giving my 6th old the becoactin syrup to stimulate her appitte... and she is constipated, she eats her fruit, prunes, fibrous cereal and I would say I get her to drink enough water but I'm still waiting for a bowel movement from her...... it's been over a week now sense she last been...., what do you recommend?
