I've been in physical therapy treatment for neck pain and back pain following childbirth and epidural complications in Dec 2013. When I initially started treatment I had more left sided pain in my neck, shoulders, and tightness at atlas. My atlas had been adjusted numerous times by the therapist using what I believe is manual and cranialsacral therapy/massage. I also perform numerous exercises. The last few times I have had the atlas moved back into position i have had increased pain and burning on the right side. I have also experienced A few migraines beginning at the greater occipital nerve and across the forehead. I am now experiencing increased pain, burning, and paresthesia following today's treatment. I tend to worry and think something more serious could be going on. I had a Mir of cervical spine two years ago and it only showed some narrowing of disk space and losing the curvature of neck. My muscles are always irritated, sore, and tight, however I'm wondering if the increase in pain following treatment and tingling means something new? I know that there are reports of chiropractors causin artery dissection due to quick thrust motions. The person I see is a physical therapist and uses more gentle movements to help correct the atlas. I was wondering if even gentle movements would cause something that severe?
