I've Been On 400 Mg Of Tegretol 2x A Day

I've been on 400 mg of tegretol 2x a day sine I had brain surgery in2001. I have a new dr who recently took away 200 mg in the am. I am having strange hot flashes every pm about 4:00 and incr3eased headaches and tiredness. Is this related? I am 70 so I am definitely not hormonal
