I’ve Been On The Pill For A Few Months Now

I’ve been on the pill for a few months now and I’ve decided not to have my period at all during that time but I feel like I should now and I’ve taken the white pill which is meant to start it up but since I haven’t taken them in a while is it going to take longer to start? And am I going to be in pain since I haven’t had my period in months?
