I've Been Sick For About 2-1/2 Weeks. Thought It Was

I've been sick for about 2-1/2 weeks. Thought it was a bad cold. Symptoms are sore throat, mostly dry cough, but sometimes some clear flegm. Dr. prescribed a Z-pack about 1 week in. That didn't help. She then ordered Augmentin which seemed to help. I felt pretty good the past 2-3 days, but not fully well. Then today I noticed my throat getting sore again an I'm coughing and very hoarse. Dr. swabbed for step negative. I also noticed back of throat is red and there are red spots on roof of mouth I suspect may be from sucking on cough drops. Any ideas?
