I've Been Sick With Chest Congestion And A Productive (dark

I've been sick with chest congestion and a productive (dark green) cough for the last week. The last few days I've had head/nasal congestion with right earache. I had a 2cc Dexa injection yesterday which helped the nasal drainage. However my chest congestion seems tighter but not as productive. My flu swab was negative. Should I insist on a chest x-ray?
