I've Been Sick With Severe Chest Cold Results In Wheezing

I've been sick with severe chest cold results in wheezing phlegm producing painful cough. I feel SOB. I'm supposed to fly home tomorrow? I am not a seasoned traveler. Is being in a plane going to add to my SOB? Should I go to E R first before traveling?
