I've Been Taking A Birth Control Pill For Almost A

I've been taking a birth control pill for almost a year now. I can say that I was
a typical user and have been a perfect user in the past few months. I just
wonder if I still need to be concerned about getting pregnant after having an
unprotected sex on the fourth day of a new pack? I heard that you should wait
for 7days if you are a new user. But how about for my case that I've been
taking it correctly for almost a year now? Does waiting for 7 days still
apply in every pack? Please do response. Thank you.
