I've Been Taking Potassium 10MEQ As A Supplement Ordered By

I've been taking potassium 10MEQ as a supplement ordered by my doctor. I recently stopped taking low dose FMHRT .25 mg. To help with hot flashes I've been taking black cohash 40 mg 2 tablets daily. Since I made these changes I'm experiencing more hot flashes as well as cold chills. Is there anything in any of the medicines that can be causing it? Its is constant thru the day and night as well. Thank you
