I've Been Using Adepalene Cream At Night On And Off

I've been using adepalene cream at night on and off for 4 years. After a period of not using it, I have been using it regularly at night for 2-3 months. Is it possible that it is making my skin red, spotted? My skin has been very dry since I had a hysterectomy 5 years ago.
