Ive Got My Wisdom Tooth Coming Through And Havw Developed

Ive got my wisdom tooth coming through and havw developed pericleonitis as a result. The area is fairly swollen and very painful and i have to take painkillers just to endure it. I am rinsing with warm salt water and mouthwash until the doctor can see me. Just wondering whether or not smoking affects this? (Not a heavy smoker, 1-2 per day)
