I've Got Poison Ivy On My Face, Arms, And Some

I've got poison ivy on my face, arms, and some on my face. Been fighting it for about ten days with over counter poison ivy meds. Can't get rid of it. Is suggestions? And why do I get so bad in last two yrs? I garden some veggies but mostly flowers.
