I've Had A Chest Cold For 10 Days. It's Improving

I've had a chest cold for 10 days. It's improving -- albeit very slowly -- and the coughing i'm compelled to do comes in intense fits about every 4 hours. I recently had very blurry vision in one eye for about 20 min. after one of the bouts of coughing. Is this normal?
