I've Had A Dry Cough For Several Weeks, Possibly Months.

I've had a dry cough for several weeks, possibly months. It's not constant. I don't have allergies that I know of. I don't want to go see a doctor if there is no reason, but am slightly concerned since I read that it can be an indicator of lung cancer.
