I've Had A Sharp Pain In My Left Leg Above

I've had a sharp pain in my left leg above the ankle for a few months. The last few days it's gotten worse in intensity and frequency. It is itchy and bruised now. I have a Dr appt on Monday afternoon. Should I wait and bring it up to my Dr or should I go to the ER?
