I've Had A Spot On My Inner Thigh That, Over

I've had a spot on my inner thigh that, over the past 2 years, has retained bruising (that comes and goes), and also sometimes (like now) has tender lumps under the skin as well. Any idea what that might be? My doctor thought that it was a deep bruise that I don't let fully heal. I really don't think she knows.
