I've Had A Sweet Creamy Taste In The Back Of

I've had a sweet creamy taste in the back of my throat for months now. I'm thinking it may be oral thrush but my doctor said she'd never seen it before and wasn't sure so she gave me a mouth rinse for it that made me gag and feel like I had a tickle in my throat all night. Now I am getting anxiety a lot more often than normal and wondering if it is really oral thrush or something else
