I've Had An A-fib Episode About Once A Year For

I've had an a-fib episode about once a year for the last 5 years. Each time cardioverted at 200 jules back to normal sinis rhythm. I'm 57, good shape, except for well controlled type two diabetes. Cardio doc says we should try ablation. Is it worth the risk, or should I just keep getting juiced about once a year?
