I've Had An Almost 2 Year Bout With Random Hives.

I've had an almost 2 year bout with random hives. Some are mild and go away quickly and others are more severe covering my arm, stomach, back or all at the same time and are extremely itchy. Most often, they will come and go without any sign of anything ever being there and then other times the rash will leave an oval scaly patch on my skin. Some are large in size and others are small. They get better and I won't have a breakout for a while, but when they do come back, the breakout can last anywhere from 30 minutes to 1 hour. I'm not sure if this is something I need to see an allergist or dermatologist for, but I just wanted to get an opinion on which direction I should go. Thanks
