I've Had An Itchy Throat (right Side Only); It Affects

I've had an itchy throat (right side only); it affects my right nostril; get runny nose, but gone once I blow my nose. The itchiness makes me cough for couple of minutes, then all of this goes away for couple of hours, then repeats cycle. I think it's an allergy; took one dose of Claritin, but didn't help much. It was non-drowsy Claritinbut kept me awake most of night. So now, in order to get sleep, I take teaspoon of non-drowsy cough syrup & spray some Chloroseptic in my throat. Gets me through the night. Has been going on for at least 2 months. Maybe I should go to doctor??? Had complete checkup before this started; my mouth, throat & neck were normal. ?????
