I've Had Cold Sores Before - Never Anything Bad Like
I've had cold sores before - never anything bad like in the pictures and very rarely and if I have one it is very small and goes a way in a couple days. Recently I was diagnosed with HSV 1 genitally, however I read because of antibodies, since I have had cold sores before I cant get it genitally. Is there any truth to that?
Also could I have given it to myself? i woke up with what i thought was dry lips (later it seemed to be focused on the corner of mouth) so then i scrubbed with a wet towel to remove skin and then carelessly used the same towel below to freshen up... i read this was not likely as well... that would definitely suck! But a few days later is when I noticed the bumps genitally - not in clusters and didn't look like blisters, but the culture came back positive for HSV 1.
