I've Had My Tragus Pierced For Over 3 Months Now,

I've had my tragus pierced for over 3 months now, and I started to notice a red bump next to the stud on the outside. The bump progressively started to get bigger and spread around the stud. It would start to scab and then when I would pick off the scab the earring would still be visible, but the red bump would still be there. This past week it scabbed and I left it covered and did not pick at it because I didn't want it to keep growing back. But I removed it today and saw that new skin had completely covered the jewelry stud and it wasn't visible at all. The back of the earring is completely fine inside my ear, but the stud is not visible and it concerns me because I want this skin/bubble to go away.
