I've Had Numbness From The Waist To My Feet On

I've had numbness from the waist to my feet on both sides for about a week. I also feel pressure in my abdomen. During the night, I feel a sharp pain in my low back on the right side. I feel better with my legs propped up. I also feel better sitting down. When I walk, my legs feel heavy. I'm not having trouble swallowing or breathing. And my bladder and bowels are functioning fine. Can numbness be caused in both legs from a pinched nerve? Should I take naproxen to see it that helps? Thanks.
