I've Had Occasional Minor Rectal Bleeding While Moving My Bowels,

I've had occasional minor rectal bleeding while moving my bowels, which has become more frequent the past few weeks. It is painless, and bright red in the bowl and on the toilet paper. Ive never had a diagnosed hemorrhoid, but I've had small protrusions appear and disappear once or twice a year for the past 2-3 years - again painless. I'd like to exhaust all treatment options before going in for an exam, if possible. Thank you. Male - 27 years old - former collegiate athlete - still very active
