I've Had Really Muffled Hearing In My Right Ear For

I've had really muffled hearing in my right ear for a while now, at first I thought it was because of ear wax as a lot comes out that ear. After seeing the doctor they said my eardrum on that side is (i think the word is retracted). I had a blocked nose as well at the time of the doctors appointments and that's cleared up now but my hearing is still so quiet and muffled on that side and just seems to be getting worse :( What treatments are available for me and are there any suggestions?
