I've Had Severe Vomiting And Diarrhoea After Taking Clarithromycin On

I've had severe vomiting and diarrhoea after taking Clarithromycin on an empty stomach. I've taken it for a couple of days with food and been ok. Last night I took one without food and was very poorly. Should I stop taking them or will I be ok if I make sure I eat with them?
