I've Had Some Vision Loss Only In My Left Eye

I've had some vision loss only in my left eye for the last 3 days. It felt like a migraine at first: wavy lines, flashes of light, little dots everywhere. I had an eye doctor look at my eye and everything looked fine. I need to know if I should go to the ER or if it's something that will go away on it's own.
