I've Recently Had A Hole Appear On My Gum Directly

I've recently had a hole appear on my gum directly behind my top front tooth. I can feel it with my tongue and I can feel the tooth directly below it hit it every time I close my mouth and it's really irritating. It's really painful to chew anything near it. Have any suggestions on what I should do?
