Jan 3rd - Had Not Had Bowel Movement For A
Jan 3rd - had not had bowel movement for a week - body was trying to go but couldn't pass large stool - lots of pain that felt like cutting - ended up having to use finger to remove pieces of feces (quite a bit) until body forcibly expelled about two handful of feces - rectal area was very sore for about a day
Jan 9th - have not had bowel movement since 1/3 - had small urge to go - could not get body to push stool out - used finger again - stool not as hard but in large pellets - removed about a handful with finger - no pain but there was a small amount bloody (not bright) mucus - feces was normal (brown) in color
Because of the bloody mucus, I'm not sure whether to work at relieving constipation with home solutions or go to the doctor. I have minor pain from lower left abdomen up left side. Have history of constipation since childhood.
