Just Had What I Think Is Laryngospasm I Think It's

Just had what I think is laryngospasm I think it's called. I've had a bad cough for over 2 weeks and am now on antibiotic amoxicillin. Thought it was an allergy originally but antihistamines weren't helping so now on day 4 of amoxicillin. Very scared to go back to sleep for fear of it happening again. Obviously I will see Doctor in morning but any other suggestions.I have used inhaler after attack.
