Just Met Someone Who Was Hospitalized For 2 Months From

Just met someone who was hospitalized for 2 months from "necro-felio-fa-she-itis", her arm flesh 1/2 gone and long surgery scars. She said it was an air-borne disease she got from a scratch from picking blackberries in the off-season. I cannot correctly spell the disease to find it on the internet. (I walk my dog and get scratches from shrubs). How do you spell the disease so I can get information?
