Just Received A Prescription Of Tylenol With Codeine Two Days

Just received a prescription of Tylenol with codeine two days ago to assist me with a three week cough. I took two pills four hours apart and woke up with a painful right eye. What has caused this, and should I discontinue using the pills? Thank you
