Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Just recently I wake up in the middle of the night and I have a hard time getting enough oxygen in my lungs. I do smoke and have some mild asthma problems, not severe since I live in a dry climate and around 5000 feet above sea level but have for 15 plus years. The symptom is new. I do have high pitched wheezing too. I have never experienced the inability to get enough oxygen though. I am allergic to certain plants and found out there is a jasmine plant right outside my window which becomes really strong smelling during night. Could it be the pollen this time of year or something else?
