Just Returned Home From Hospital(X 5 Days)Abscess Found In Sigmoid
Just returned home from hospital(X 5 days)Abscess found in sigmoid colon via Ct scan WBC's 26,000 on admission. 5 days of Nl. saline(1000cc,100cc pr hour) with antibx Levoquin o.d.plus Flagyl q.8 hrs.
5th day WBC's dropped to 11.4(thank goodness) and home on oral Levoquin o.d. and Flagyl q.8 hrs.
for 14 days total. But extremely w eak and exhausted. Hgb=10.5 (part of the exhaustion?)
follow up CT scan in 2 weeks followed by colonoscopy 8-10 weeks.
All sound reasonable tx.?
