Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Just to give a quick history. I'm 30 female I have been diagnosed with hypertension at the age of 14 I've been taking lisinopril 5 mg every day Since 24 after my son was born, I suffered my first mini stroke at the age of 28 ( no neurological damage) but They found a hole in my Center wall and the blood flows backwards threw it. Not sure what that does.. My cardiologist says I can live with the whole no surgery My blood pressure on a good day is 160/114 bpm on average is 65-70 ( strange enough I feel better when it's higher than when they got it to 125/85 "normal " I got really sick could not do basic activities and could not keep my balance) . but I'm tired all the time and it's just getting worse. And I have been getting headaches now on a regular basis. I'm 5'5 135 lbs in decent shape. I can't keep up with daily life I could sleep the whole day away and still be exhausted. Is there something we are missing? The sleep it what's getting to me the most I have tried just about everything to try and feel energized ( I don't drink coffee tea or nasty energy drinks or too much soda maybe 1 can a week if that) and I don't smoke or drink alcohol. I have mainly tried fruit smoothies they help for a while but by 9:30 am I could go for a nap. I just don't know what else to do? Is it perhaps my blood pressure keeping me from getting up? Thank you -Mal
