Last July I Had A Colonoscopy And Got Really Sick

Last July I had a colonoscopy and got really sick with low blood sugar during my fast beforehand. Is there something I can take that won't ruin my results and also stabilize my blood sugar prior to it? I have to have a recheck in a couple weeks. They have eliminated chicken broth and hard candies.
