Last evening during a film, my wife was sitting with me on a futon, slightly reclined. She mentioned an unusual feeling in the right side of her upper throat area where the neck joins the torso. She described an uneasy feeling in the area on both sides of her throat just above the clavicle, but the right side gave her a sensation of gradually spreading fluid, as though something had burst. This uneasy feeling was accompanied by a body chill.
I stopped the film to observe her for a few minutes. She did not experience lightheadedness or weakness, and I could determine no visual cues that might suggest an actual vein leaking anywhere in her upper chest area. I insisted that we get to the bedroom where she could lay flat and I could watch her more closely. Her walk was steady, and once flat on the bed, I covered her with a blanket. Eventually, the pronounced chill went away. She was never faint or unsteady, lightheaded or dizzy. Later, she had an appetite for supper, and she slept soundly through the night. Today, she feels no symptoms whatsoever.
Is this an indicator we should pursue?
Thank you!
