Last Month, My Tonsils Swelled Horribly To The Point I

Last month, my tonsils swelled horribly to the point I had to go to the ER twice and get steriods, both the shot and oral. Then I went in last week and discovered I have gallstones. Two days ago, my throat started hurting and my tonsils swelled again. Its hard to breathe and my entire body hurts. My ears ache and I have a constant headache. Can the two be connected in some way?
