Last Night I Do Not Remember Having Any Signs Of

Last night I do not remember having any signs of passing out, but after my son got me up I have no memory of waking up and my so and husband stating me talking to them while driving to the hospital. I became coherent after getting into a room at the emergency room. Why after waking up did I not know what was going on?
